Mrs. VanDevelde's background and overall career exposure has been in working with people and performance management, workplace grievance resolution and disciplinary procedures, training and recruitment. During Mrs. VanDevelde’s tenure as the Director, People, Performance & Culture at the public accounting firm of KPMG she positioned the firm as the first organisation on the Island to acquire the Investor in People standard in 2004. Mrs. VanDevelde was a member of the Board of the Cayman Islands Society for Human Resource Professionals (CISHRP) from 2000 and served as President from 2006 to 2008.
Mrs. VanDevelde also devotes her time, expertise and energies to community endeavours, and is the founder and Chairwoman of Feed our Future not for profit in the Cayman Islands which advocates for the rights of children and has a very simple mission, that is to provide children in need regular and dependable access to healthy meals so that they can lead healthy and productive lives. Mrs. VanDevelde is a strong advocate of wellness and healthy lifestyles and believes in the power of nutrition.
Mrs. VanDevelde was appointed a Notary Public in 1997. She was first appointed as a CSAC Member on 4 April 2013 for a period of three years. Mrs. VanDevelde was re-appointed effective 4 April 2016 for a four year term after which her appointment was renewed on 24 September 2020. Mrs. VanDevelde resigned from the Commission effective 20 October 2020.
